PSRSLA Guidelines

1. Nomination period:  January 1st – March 1. No late nominations accepted.
    Award certificates are mailed to nominators by April 1.

2. Nomination letters should include the following information about each nominee:

About the nominee:
A. Full name of student as it should appear on the Gramota. Nominees should be  juniors or seniors. Only one student can be nominated from each institution.
B.
Description of why this student most deserves this award; i.e., how the student promotes the study of Russian and models the behavior of a committed Russian student. The student need not have the top GPA in the department or program, nor be a Russian major, but should demonstrate an active dedication--in course work, outside activities, attitude--to the study of Russian language and culture.

About the nominator(s):
C. Name, institution, e-mail address, and complete mailing address of the nominator. At least one nominator must be a current ACTR member (
become a member or renew your membership now).

Since the nomination should reflect the consensus of the program or department, the letter should be submitted by the department chair, director of undergraduate studies, or language program director.
